Universal's remastered version of Morrissey's 1997 album Maladjusted is released today in the UK. The album features six B-sides from the Maladjusted singles, an extended booklet with liner notes written by Morrissey, and new sleeve artwork with rare images.

Morrissey would like to ask associates of The Smiths to spare a thought for Gill Smith who died this morning (April 6th) in London. Gill was 51 years old, and amongst many other things in her life, she had been The Smiths press officer/publicist from June 1984 to 1986. Gill was a vivacious, glamorous and witty character, a stern ally of The Smiths, and was loved and admired by everyone around her.

Morrissey's new single "Something Is Squeezing My Skull" will be released on 27th April in the UK and will be available on two CDs and 7" vinyl. The single will be backed on the various formats by live versions of "This Charming Man," "Best Friend On The Payroll," and "I Keep Mine Hidden," all recorded at Morrissey's recent show for BBC Radio 2.
