Morrissey will play the Enmore Theatre in Sydney, Australia, on Friday 21 December.

All three Morrissey shows in New York have now sold out (Radio City Music Hall, plus two nights at Terminal 5), making a total of 11,520 tickets sold in New York City.
Morrissey's show at the Rococo Theatre in Lincoln (Nebraska) has also sold out.
For Morrissey's tour of Australia, a second night in Sydney will be added at a different venue other than the advertised show at the Sydney Opera House.

New Zealand and Australia, 2012

Morrissey has added two shows in New Zealand and four shows in Australia to conclude his 2012 tour. At the close of his 35-date U.S. tour on December 8 (Atlantic City, sold-out), Morrissey will travel directly to New Zealand. Full ticket and venue details will be available within the next week.
Morrissey is also confirmed for three U.S. television shows during his forthcoming tour; The Jimmy Fallon Show, The Jimmy Kimmel Show and The Colbert Report.

The rich experience of our recent tour of Italy, Turkey, Israel and Greece has thankfully matched the terrific responses we had received in Asia and South America earlier this year - a year that, to my amazement, has become the most successful of my touring life. How, exactly? And why?
Once again, all I can offer is the sore throat of thanks to everyone who bought tickets and who supported us along the way.
The incredible audience reactions in Istanbul, Athens and Tel-Aviv have left me insensible, and were completely at odds with the common belief that the world of music is now dumb and sterile.

Our army marches into Boston soon, and here we begin a lengthy American tour. We are overjoyed at news of sell-outs at Radio City (New York), Chicago, San Francisco, Atlantic City, Niagara Falls, Asheville, North Bethesda, and we are close to sold out at Terminal 5 (New York), Lincoln NE, Beaumont TX. To continue to do so well, and to continue to mean something to so many people, brings a gratitude that I will never tire of repeating.
Thank you to the city of Tel-Aviv for granting me the Keys to their city. I just might die with a smile on my face, after all.
Thank you to drummer Eric Louis Gardner for guiding us through our recent tour. I am pleased to announce that our new drummer is Anthony Burulcich.

And, yet! I am unable to watch the Olympics due to the blustering jingoism that drenches the event. Has England ever been quite so foul with patriotism? The "dazzling royals" have, quite naturally, hi-jacked the Olympics for their own empirical needs, and no oppositional voice is allowed in the free press. It is lethal to witness. As London is suddenly promoted as a super-wealth brand, the England outside London shivers beneath cutbacks, tight circumstances and economic disasters. Meanwhile the British media present 24-hour coverage of the "dazzling royals", laughing as they lavishly spend, as if such coverage is certain to make British society feel fully whole. In 2012, the British public is evidently assumed to be undersized pigmies, scarcely able to formulate thought.
As I recently drove through Greece I noticed repeated graffiti seemingly everywhere on every available wall. In large blue letters it said WAKE UP WAKE UP. It could almost have been written with the British public in mind, because although the spirit of 1939 Germany now pervades throughout media-brand Britain, the 2013 grotesque inevitability of Lord and Lady Beckham (with Sir Jamie Horrible close at heel) is, believe me, a fate worse than life. WAKE UP WAKE UP.

Please remember PETA's 32nd birthday on 21 August: destiny for some is to save lives.

MORRISSEY STARS IN NEW PETA CAMPAIGN TO PROMOTE ANIMAL BIRTH CONTROL

Music Legend Tackles Homeless-Animal Crisis

Los Angeles - Morrissey is wearing a unique chapeau in his new ad campaign for PETA: a rescued tabby, who's perched on Moz's head next to the words "Homeless Animals on Your Mind? Spay or Neuter Today."

"Despite the fact that they're incredibly intelligent, animals unfortunately haven't yet worked out how to slip on a rubber, which is why thousands of them are being put to sleep in overcrowded shelters and thousands more are desperately waiting to be adopted," says Morrissey. "Letting cats or dogs have litters is tantamount to shooting shelter animals in the head since it kills their chances of adoption. Please do the right thing and spay or neuter your animals."

Six to 8 million unwanted cats and dogs enter animal shelters every year in the U.S., and roughly half of them must be euthanized because there aren't enough good homes for them. Many more never make it to an animal shelter and are left to fend for themselves on the streets, where they often are subjected to cruelty, are struck by cars, or suffer from starvation, disease, and weather extremes. The solution is simple: Always spay or neuter your animal companions. Spaying one female dog can prevent 67,000 births in six years, and spaying one female cat can prevent 370,000 births in seven years.

Morrissey returns to his hometown of Manchester this week for a one-off gig on July 28 - his only performance in England in 2012 - and will tour the U.S. this fall.

The singer is part of a growing list of musicians - including Pink, Iggy Pop, Dave Navarro, Animal Collective, The Veronicas, Paul McCartney, Chester Bennington, Ke$ha, and many more - who have teamed up with PETA to help animals.

We are very sorry to inform that due to an unforeseen injury to Solomon Walker's back, Morrissey will not be able to perform at Cascais Music Festival tonight. Solomon Walker is the bass player and a central part of the band and it's impossible to do the concert without him.

We would like to apologise to all our fans who had bought tickets to see us but we promise we'll be back soon. Ticket refunds are available from the ticket vendor.

On July 21st in Israel Morrissey was granted the Keys to the City by the mayor of Tel-Aviv. This is a very rare accolade and Morrissey told Israeli television reporters that he is "delighted to be honored and recognized," and he vowed to always do his best for the city of Tel-Aviv. It is the very first of such honors that Morrissey has received.
Morrissey played to a sold-out crowd of more than 5,000 that evening at Bitan 1.
In terms of ticket sales Morrissey's current tour of Europe and Asia has proven to be the most successful of his entire career.
The final ticket count for Morrissey's show at Bitan 1, at 5,900, out-sold recent shows by both Bruce Springsteen and Madonna. Promoters for Bitan 1 say that the Morrissey show was the fastest selling Tel-Aviv concert of this year so far. Morrissey remains without a recording contract.

MORRISSEY BREAKS ATTENDANCE RECORD AT LYCABETTUS ARENA IN ATHENS

Morrissey's July 16th show at Lycabettus Arena in Athens, Greece broke an attendance record that was previously held by Radiohead, as 9,000 people forced their way into a 5,500 capacity venue.

Security officials gave up as 3,500 broke through the main doors. The head of security, who has served the venue for 30 years, said, "I have never seen such determined people."

The stage had already been moved back 4 meters to accommodate the capacity crowd but non-ticketed patrons also lined observation points to the left and right of the arena.

Morrissey said he was "delighted and humbled" by the Athens reception and delivered a blistering set combining new songs such as "Scandinavia" and "Action is my middle name" as well as older songs including "You have killed me" and "I'm throwing my arms around Paris".

Morrissey is currently wrapping up his European tour and will hit the stage in October for his North American tour. He remains without a record deal.
